Lighting Project
In an effort to increase security at White Rock Lake, the White Rock Lake Foundation is proposing the installation of additional lighting around White Rock Lake.
The temporary installation of a few lights are currently in place around Winfrey Point.
As you will note in the photographs, these lights are visually appealing and resemble the lighting structure of the 1930's while providing the benefit of energy conservation available in the 21st century.
Funds are needed to install lighting throughout White Rock Lake- in the parking lots, trail areas that may be less visible and dock and pier areas. The Dallas Police and the Dallas Park and Recreation Department will be making the recommendations on where each light should be installed.
